Annie

My husband and I adopted Little Ann from Northwoods back in December.  I can not believe it has been that long already.  As you know, we had a lot of difficulty with her at first as she had severe separation anxiety...to the point that she was hurting herself when we would leave her.  With a lot of training and some medication we were able to recover and things were going really well for a few months.  We are sorry we have not sent an update, but things have been crazy.

About Annie...

She loves to run after the ball or frisbee and recently we found out that she is part fish.  We took her to White Bear Lake and she had an absolute blast playing in the water all day.  She is the most wonderfully patient dog I have ever seen.  She is also great with kids.  She still has some problems with being afraid of other dogs and thunder storms, but all in all her anxiety issues have greatly improved.

A few weeks ago Annie got very sick.  She was throwing up and very lethargic.  After weeks of testing we now have a diagnosis of Addison's Disease.  We started her on her medication today.  We hope that she will improve quickly and be back to chasing her ball and frisbee in no time.  She was up to 75lbs. before she got sick.  She is back down to about 70lbs, but Dr. Dalton thinks she will rebound quickly.  This will be an expensive road for us now with her medications costing over $200 per month, but she is worth every penny.

I have attached a few pictures of Annie back in March, before she got sick for you to see.  We appreciate all you do and thank you for giving us our Annie.

Thanks Again,

Teri
